1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible

This project celebrates the golden age of American cruising an era when power met grace beneath open skies. This 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible carries that legacy forward, blending the unmistakable style of the early ’70s with the reliability and response of modern electronic fuel injection.

Iconic Power Reborn

Beneath the hood lies a 455 cubic inch Oldsmobile big block, now managed by a Holley fuel injection system that transforms its throttle response and drivability. Backing the engine is the original three speed automatic transmission, keeping the car’s authentic character intact while channeling torque with a smooth, confident pull.

Our work focused on refining and modernizing the mechanical heart of this convertible cruiser. The Holley fuel injection system was fully repaired and tuned, ignition performance was elevated through a complete MSD ignition upgrade, and an overheating issue was diagnosed and resolved ensuring the big 455 now runs cool, crisp, and consistent.

The result is a Cutlass that retains every ounce of its vintage charm but delivers its power with modern reliability easy starts, steady idle, and effortless acceleration, all while sounding every bit the part of an Oldsmobile legend reborn.
